Why should I pay for professional photography?
The short answer? Because it makes a big difference in sales. The long answer:
According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors, 80% of buyers start their search for a home online
. So while realtors used to depend on curb appeal, the new must-have is Web Appeal. Buyers are rapidly clicking through hundreds of listings in their search for a dream property. Will your photos stop them? Because if your photos can't sell the property, you won’t have the chance to, either. The bottom line is, great photography sells.
What areas do you serve?
We work primarily in Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts, with a range that extends to most of New England. Including Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Occasionally, travel expenses apply. Not sure if you’re too far? The best way to find out is a quick phone call.
What's the typical timeline?
It's pretty short process. You call and schedule a shoot (or a walk-through first, if you prefer), and we make a list of the rooms you'd like covered. Once the shoot is finished, you get the photographs within 48-72 hours: web-ready images are sent via email and a custom CD of high resolution print quality images is delivered to your door.
What if I'm in a hurry?
If you need it tomorrow and our schedule is open, we can shoot and deliver within 24 hours for an additional fee.
What's the purpose of a walk-through?
Some properties merit a little extra attention. If you're not sure how many rooms you'd like shot or which are the best rooms and features to highlight, we can scout the property in advance and analyze it to find the angles, lighting and details that will have the most impact. You’re welcome to join us on the walk-through if your schedule allows.
Does someone have to be there when you shoot the property?
It's entirely up to you. Since we'll have a shot list, your presence isn't required (but it is always welcome.)
What format are your pictures?
We deliver your photos in the standard formats for both web and print use— pre-sized to MLS standards for instant web use and in low, medium and high resolution for your other marketing needs. Our Virtual Tours can be written in either Quicktime or Flash, so anyone can view them from any computer.
Are there extra fees for using the images for my other marketing materials?
We wouldn't dream of charging extra to get the job done— our goal is to help you sell the property. The more you can use the photos to do that, the better.
Do you use a wide-angle lens? If so, will it distort my space or make it look bigger than it really is?
Wide-angle lenses are often the best way to accurately represent a room. The key word is “accurately.” Our goal is to make a property look its best without crossing the line into misrepresentation. Realistic photos lead to realistic expectations (and happy buyers).
